Lithium Grease

The Universal Workhorse for Reliable All-Purpose Lubrication

1. Nikai Lithium MP (Multi-Purpose)

The "standard" grease. It offers excellent mechanical stability and oxidation resistance for moderate temperatures.

  • Performance: Smooth, buttery texture.
  • Limitation: Not intended for heavy "shock" loads or extreme heat (Drop point ≈ 190°C).

2. Nikai Lithium EP (Extreme Pressure)

Takes the standard MP grease and adds chemical EP agents. These additives react under pressure to form a sacrificial layer that prevents metal-on-metal welding.

  • Performance: High load-carrying capacity (Timken OK Load ≈ 40-50 lbs).
  • Use Case: Heavy industrial gearboxes and truck chassis lubrication.

3. Nikai Lithium Complex & Complex EP

By "complexing" the lithium soap, the Drop Point is pushed to 260°C+. This grease does not melt under the intense heat generated by modern disc brakes.

  • Lithium Complex: Best for high-speed, high-temp bearings (Electric motors).
  • Lithium Complex EP: The "Gold Standard" for automotive wheel bearings and heavy industrial machinery operating at high temperatures.

4. Nikai Lithium Moly (Molybdenum Disulfide)

This grease contains "Moly" particles. If the oil film is squeezed out by a sudden heavy impact (shock load), the solid Moly particles remain behind to provide dry lubrication.

  • The "Grey/Black" Grease: Easily identified by its dark color.
  • Use Case: Excavator buckets, Fifth wheels on trucks, and heavily loaded sliding surfaces.

5. Nikai Lithium-Calcium (The Hybrid)

This "mixed-soap" grease combines the high-temperature stability of Lithium with the superior water resistance of Calcium.

  • Performance: Better "stay-in-place" ability in wet environments than pure lithium.
  • Use Case: Agriculture, off-road construction, and industrial applications exposed to wash-downs.

Calcium-Based Grease

FROM UTILITY TO EXTREME PERFORMANCE

The Nikai Calcium series provides a specialized progression of protection. While they all share a base of calcium chemistry, their performance levels vary significantly based on how the thickener is structured.

1. Nikai Calcium MP (The Water-Shield)

This is the traditional "Cup Grease." It is the most water-resistant of all basic greases, making it the standard for "wet-end" lubrication where heat is not a factor.

  • Best For: Agricultural pins, water pump bearings, and boat trailer chassis.
  • Limitation: It melts at boiling point (100°C). Do not use on high-speed wheel brakes.

2. Nikai Calcium Complex (The Industrial Professional)

By adding "complexing" agents to the soap, we drastically raise the melting point. This grease retains the water resistance of standard calcium but can survive in hot industrial gearboxes and motors.

  • Best For: General plant maintenance, hot-running conveyor bearings, and automotive parts requiring higher thermal stability.
  • Performance: Offers a much stronger mechanical "body" that won't thin out under heavy work.

3. Nikai Calcium Sulfonate Complex (The "Super Grease")

This is the pinnacle of lubricant technology. Unlike other greases where the thickener just "holds" the oil, the Calcium Sulfonate thickener itself is a high-performance lubricant.

  • Extreme Pressure: It has an inherent ability to carry massive loads (4-Ball Weld Load >400kg) without needing extra chemical additives.
  • Saltwater Mastery: It is the world's best defense against salt-spray corrosion and "pitting."
  • Heat Recovery: If it overheats, it can often return to its original texture once cooled, unlike lithium greases which may harden.

High-Temperature Grease

NIKAI BENTONITE CLAY GREASE (NON-MELT)

Nikai Bentonite Grease is a premium, non-melting lubricant formulated with a high-quality organo-clay (Bentonite) thickener. Unlike traditional soap-based greases (like Lithium or Calcium) that have a defined "dropping point" where they liquefy and run out of the bearing, Bentonite grease is infusible. It maintains its consistency even under extreme thermal stress, making it the primary choice for "hot-running" industrial machinery.

1. Bentonite MP (Multi-Purpose / Industrial)

This is the standard "non-melt" grease. It is designed for general-purpose use in high-temperature environments where extreme pressure is not a constant factor.

  • Key Feature: High thermal stability without melting.
  • Best For: Oven door hinges, drying rack rollers, and small exhaust fans.
  • Color: Usually Amber or Light Brown.

2. Bentonite EP (Extreme Pressure)

The most common industrial version. It is fortified with chemical sulfur-phosphorus additives to handle heavy loads at high temperatures.

  • Key Feature: Prevents metal-on-metal wear under heavy pressure or vibration.
  • Best For: Conveyor bearings in steel mills, asphalt plant mixers, and kiln car bearings.
  • Color: Dark Brown.

3. Bentonite Moly (With Molybdenum Disulfide)

This version contains solid "Moly" flakes (usually 3% to 5%). It is designed for the most brutal mechanical environments involving heat and shock loads.

  • Key Feature: If the heat is so intense that the oil film thins out, the Moly flakes stay behind to provide "dry" lubrication and prevent seizing.
  • Best For: Heavy mining equipment, crusher bearings, and slow-moving, heavily loaded pins/bushings near heat sources.
  • Color: Grey/Black.

4. Bentonite Heavy-Duty (High Viscosity Base Oil)

Some Bentonite greases use a very thick base oil (ISO 460 or higher).

  • Key Feature: The thick oil creates a massive "cushion" between metal parts, which is essential for very slow-moving, massive bearings.
  • Best For: Large-diameter low-speed bearings in cement kilns or heavy industrial agitators.

5. Bentonite Graphite Grease

Similar to Moly grease, this uses graphite as a solid lubricant.

  • Key Feature: Graphite performs exceptionally well in extremely high temperatures where even Moly might begin to oxidize.
  • Best For: High-temperature furnace components and steam valve stems.

MARINE Grease

Nikai Marine Grease is not a single product, but a range of specialized lubricants designed to survive where standard automotive or industrial greases fail. In the maritime environment, a grease must fight constant saltwater wash-off, prevent "pitting" corrosion, and maintain its seal against high-pressure waves.

1. Nikai Marine Calcium (The Waterproof Seal)

The traditional "Green Marine Grease." It is specifically formulated to be completely insoluble in water.

  • Performance: It acts as a physical barrier that saltwater cannot penetrate.
  • Best For: Trailer wheel bearings (freshwater), pivot pins, and steering cables.
  • Note: Limited temperature range (up to 110°C).

2. Nikai Marine Lithium Complex (The Engine Room Choice)

Designed for the heat of the engine room. It combines the water-shedding ability of marine grease with the high-temperature stability of a complex soap.

  • Performance: High dropping point (260°C+) means it won't melt near hot engines or exhaust systems.
  • Best For: Water pumps, blower bearings, and high-speed electric motors on board.

3. Nikai Calcium Sulfonate Complex (The Heavy-Duty King)

This is the ultimate marine lubricant. It doesn't just "resist" saltwater; it chemically neutralizes its corrosive effects.

  • Extreme Pressure: Inherent EP properties handle the massive torque of winches and cranes.
  • Performance: It maintains its consistency even when contaminated with up to 40% seawater.
  • Best For: Stern tubes, thruster bearings, wire ropes, and deck cranes.

4. Nikai Marine Moly (For Shock Loads)

A lithium or calcium complex base fortified with Molybdenum Disulfide.

  • Performance: If a heavy wave slams a piece of equipment and squeezes the oil out, the "Moly" stay-behind flakes provide dry lubrication to prevent metal-on-metal seizing.
  • Best For: Heavily loaded pins, bushings, and fifth wheels on terminal tractors.
